The historic town of Hasami began crafting porcelain ware almost 400 years ago and is one of the foremost pottery districts in Japan. Hasami Porcelain was designed by Takuhiro Shinomoto, whose vision was to integrate modern tableware design with traditional Japanese manufacturing techniques.
Carefully shaped with contemporary lines and an elegant aesthetic Hasami Porcelain has a distinct natural feel. The finish of the porcelain adds an organic touch thus complimenting food and drink.
Alongside the wonderful craftsmanship is the functional nesting design, inspired by traditional Japanese lacquered tiered boxes or 'Jubako'. This provides ease of serving and stackable storage. Simple, functional and beautiful.
