McLean of Braemar is a small, long established family business based in the picturesque village of Braemar in the Scottish Highlands. 

Gareth McLean crafts useful & beautiful objects from antlers cast from Roe Deer & Red Deer. His location in the scenic Cairngorm National Park has enabled him to forge relationships with local gamekeepers, thus ensuring a regular & trusted antler supply. The natural nature of this material & the Scottish climate means that each product is wonderfully unique.

Originating in Scotland in the 15th century, a spurtle is a turned wooden utensil designed for stirring porridge, soups or stew.
