Leach Pottery Teapot
Founded in 1920 by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada, the Leach pottery is among the most respected and influential studio potteries in the world. The studio is still situated in St Ives in Cornwall where the potters are inspired by its rugged beauty and rich geology.
Leach Standard Ware is thrown on the potters wheel with local Cornish St Agnes clay and glazed by hand using their unique and expressive studio glazes. This is beautiful handcrafted pottery but we’d recommend you use it & enjoy it!
A beautiful and characterful teapot in the Leach Tenmoku glaze. Originating in China, this iron-rich glaze gives a deep black finish, breaking to red-brown where it is thinner.
